Jammu, Oct 01 (KNO): The Hindi Official Language Fortnight was celebrated in the Jammu Division from September 14th to 30th.
Various competitions were held daily during this period. The Hindi Fortnight was intended to emphasize the increased use of Hindi in official work. Various competitions related to Hindi were held at various stations across the division.
On September 30th, a grand Hindi Fortnight closing/prize distribution ceremony was held at the Divisional Office, Jammu. Divisional Railway Manager, Vivek Kumar, as the Chief Guest, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads.
The closing ceremony was held under the supervision of Additional Divisional Railway Manager and Additional Divisional Chief Official Language Officer, Akshay Kumar Marantu.
Official Language Officer, Sunil Kumar Badoni, and Senior Translator, Sarita, conducted the program. During the ceremony, the importance of using the Hindi language fluently in official work was highlighted.
The Divisional Railway Manager, the chief guest of the event, distributed prizes to railway employees from various departments who excelled in various competitions held during Hindi Week.
At the conclusion of the event, the Additional Divisional Railway Manager thanked all employees present for their contribution to the success of the Hindi Fortnight. He stated that promoting the Hindi language is not only a government directive but also a symbol of our nation's culture and unity—(KNO)
